- PC and PD engines were fitted at the factory with three different oil pressure relief systems. The early one on the oil pump, middle one in the sump and the late one on the drive side of the block. In addition, there was a factory retrofit kit for the sump located relief valves the put the relief valve back on the oil pump, but using different parts than the early version. The list of engine numbers and exceptions for this runs several columns in the 1928-33 Master Parts List. If the relief valve is not on the oil pump then the cover will be part 50743.
