[Buton n.d.] Earl C. Buton Jr, n.d, Technical Director's Column, Undated typewritten notes received from Dennis George. Dennis received them prior to about 1990. On one page, covering the topic of engine colors, the document also states "... the Club will take the stand that.." implying that this information was authoritative for some club. I believe that the club is the Plymouth Owner's club but do not know it for sure. As of 1999, Earl Buton, Jr is both Technical Director of the Plymouth Owners Club and the Technical Advisor for Model Q Plymouths.

[Schaaf 2007] Dennis K. Schaaf, 2007, Internet discussion form posts at the Plymouth Owners Club’s Web Discussion Forum (the link is stale, download the saved PDF version) and follow up private email exchanges. “The car has 23000 original miles on it. The car is 98% original. My father had it in his garage on blocks for the last 30 years. When I was growing up this car was a big part of my life. We took it to a lot of car shows in northern Indiana. My father is 80 years old now. I am in the middle of repainting it to the correct color. The correct paint was in pretty good shape but had been painted over by a pretty poor paint job. When I started removing the light blue I found some very good paint down on the right side just above the right front fender. I wet sanded it and then buffed it back to a very good shine. I then had a very reputable auto paint company computer match it for me.”
